MetLife Insurance

Eligible Members paying the $29 dues rate have the MetLife Insurance benefit. The monthly premium of $6 is included in the $29. The benefit includes $10,000 Life Insurance, $10,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and $1,500 per month long-term disability. Once a member retires or reaches age 65, they are no longer eligible for this benefit and no longer pay the $6 monthly premium.

The Long-Term Disability benefit has a 6-month waiting period (kicks in after short-term disability expires). Please inquire about applying 1-2 months prior to short-term expiring if you know you'll be out of work on disability for at least 6 months. Contact Sue or Shaun below.
